happy memories!

I started these blocks last year after discovering Victoria Findlay Wolfe’s wonderful 15 Minutes of Play.  The centers are fabric scraps left over from quilts I’ve completed.  It makes me so happy to see these little pieces of my creations all in one place!

The finished blocks are 8 1/2″ squares with 6″ center circles.  I use the 6 Minute Circle technique by Dale Fleming to insert the made fabric into the black and white background fabric.  I just realized that I was inspired by “15 Minutes” of play and make “6 Minute” circles ~ kinda funny coincidence!  I’ve been working on making the circles today:

These blocks will be made into a cover for my sewing machine.  I’m linking up with WIP Wednesday @ Freshly Pieced + Needle and Thread Thursday @ My Quilt Infatuation.
